BIOGRAPHY
Gill Hicks AM MBE is globally known as a survivor of the London terrorist Bombings on 7 July 7, 2005. She is a peace advocate, author, musician and artist.
There are few people who have endured such unimaginable trauma and are able to rejoice and celebrate just being alive. Equally there are few people who can speak about a tragic event in such an engaging and uplifting manner. Her appreciation and gratitude is infectious and offers a brilliant reminder of just how precious our lives are.
This year Gill returned to London for the 20th anniversary of the bombings to perform her show Still Alive (and Kicking). In her show, she weaves her story of survival and resilience around singing the jazz standards she has always loved. This year we are honoured to have Gill Hicks perform a special jazz session for us.
