BIOGRAPHY
Hew Parham is a South Australian based actor, theatre-maker, writer, clown, director and teacher. Hew is the only Australian trained to teach the unique Pochinko Clown Method which he learned in several pilgrimages to Canada. Hew has developed several shows with his comedic characters such as: Giovanni which played at the New York Clown Theatre Festival; Odyssey Schmodyssey; and Rudi’s The Rinse Cycle which played at The Adelaide Cabaret Festival. His epic cycling play Symphonie De La Bicyclette was premiered in Wollongong during the UCI World Cycling Championships.
Hew is equal parts artist and teacher and takes a strong emphasis on pedagogy and the empowerment of creativity in everyone he works with from artists to non-artists. He has taught at Flinders University, AC Arts, University of South Australia and various workshops across Australia, Norway and China.
