BIOGRAPHY
Gregory Lorenzutti is a Brazilian-Australian interdisciplinary artist and food grower, working between the spaces of photography, dance and organic agriculture. He is a graduate from The Theatre School at UniRio (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) in 2004; Film and Digital Photography at SENAC – Rio de Janeiro and Atelier da Imagem.
He is specialised in Contemporary Narratives in Photography by the ICP (International Center of Photography) in New York. He is a graduate from The School of Nature and Climate at CERES (Australia) in Urban Organic Farming and Regenerative Landscape. In 2020 and 2021 he worked as a farmer for The Ecological Justice Hub with its food relief production and distribution in the Moreland City Council area through food grown locally at Fawkner Food Bowls – Melbourne/Australia.
In 2022 he was the Artistic Director for Interdisciplinary Practice at the Victorian College of The Arts – Melbourne University / Australia devising Theatrum Botanicum – plant knowledge and performance. As a documentary photographer, he finds and shares stories with an eye for subtlety, human emotion and beauty. His works have been extensively published and exhibited around the globe by different galleries. His photography work has been added to private collections in Australia, Indonesia and Brazil. Gregory’s photography body of work unveils his focus in the process of making image, documentation and storytelling.
As a choreographer and dancer, his interest resides in popular culture, queerness, body representation and the synergy between performers and audience.
